My name is Jennifer Hartmann, and Ive lost 55 lbs by working with a Real Fit personal trainer! I know it still seems unreal even to me but honestly 9 months ago if you would have asked me if I thought id ever fit back into a size 2, I would have laughed hysterically and said NO! I had always been the girl that never had to workout and was for the most part naturally small, until about a year and a half ago. My poor eating habits, lack of physical activity, and me using food as a comfort for everything that happened in my life made me get to my all time heaviest at 165.
I remember the first day that I decided to meet with the trainers and see what they were all about and I was terrified, I kept thinking there is no way im going to feel comfortable working with a trainer let alone a guy trainer being this out of shape. But I was wrong from the moment that I sat down and talked to Grant I just knew that if anyone could help me it was them. I was shocked at how much they wanted to help me lose the weight and how easy it was to talk to them about everything. The first thing Grant did was sit me down and help me come up with a realistic and healthier eating plan, I clearly was eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted and that was a huge issue of why I was overweight. He not only gave me tons of healthier eating choices but also taught me that I could still eat a lot throughout the day so that I didnt have to feel hungry or like I was depriving myself. Im not gonna lie I did struggle a lot with changing my diet up and it took me awhile to finally get it down but once I did I noticed how much more energy I had during the day and how much better I slept at nite when I wasnt eating so much junk all the time.
The eating was only half the battle though, exercising was the hardest part for me, the first day I trained with Grant I literally did not think I was going to be able to get through it and actually be able to stick with it. I was so exhausted and every muscle in my body hurt for days, but he never gave up on me and after the first couple weeks it got easier and I didnt mind coming in and I actually started looking forward to it! He not only designed a workout plan for my body he taught me how to work all the machines and showed me the proper ways of using all the equipment which was part of the reason I never used the weights at the gym before. He also made my workouts fun and was constantly switching them up so that I never got bored, and was always working all my muscles! After losing those first 10 lbs I just knew I could do it, surely enough I started coming in by myself more and more (which I never did before) and working out and training with Grant 2 times a week and the weight just started to come off! He was so supportive and really made me feel good about every pound I lost and he never let me get discouraged when the scale didnt move. I did however have my fair share of struggles along the way, and at one point had even gained more weight bringing me up to 167, but I continued to push through it and even passed my weight loss goal that I had set for myself of 30 lbs! I can't say it enough but had I not gotten help from Grant and the other trainers of Real Fit I wouldnt be the person that I am today, they gave me my confidence and my life back! I now have the energy to keep up with the kids that I nanny for and to get out and be the person who I always was inside! I strongly recommend taking a chance and talking to them, if I can do it anyone can do it!

Cindy Grell
My name is Cindy and I am 48 years old. I met Grant in January of 2009. That's when I was convinced by my daughter that I needed to go with her to a gym and think about making a lifestyle change. I was scared to death to even walk into a gym, and even more so to get on one of "those machines" that I knew nothing about. I did know that I couldn't go on much longer with high blood pressure, borderline diabetes, and no energy. I was having a hard time walking up the steps, and tried to avoid them at all costs.
After my initial visits with Grant, and his motivational talks about health, nutrition and convincing me I could do this, even at my age, I decided to give it a try. That's when I met Steven, my personal trainer.
Steven has worked with me two to three times a week and has always inspired me to "keep going". His positive attitude is contagious. I've lost a total of 64 pounds and over 70 inches. I've learned new eating habits, as well as how important good nutrition is in a weight loss program. My mind and body have been retrained and I feel like a new person.
I'm down 4 to 5 dress sizes, and plan to get down even more. My blood pressure is under control, as well as my other health concerns. I walk the steps whenever possible, and I can even run on the treadmill. It's such a
wonderful feeling to be able to buy clothing in the "normal" size section in the stores, and regular width shoes (my feet have even shrank).
Steven has given me the encouragement and the desire to obtain my goal. He has always been there to teach me and push me at the same time. His persistence and patience has gotten me to where I am today. He convinced me that I could be part of the boot camp that they run periodically. It truly was a challenge, but I made it through. The owners were all involved and made it possible for every level of ability to participate.

My name is Melissa Redding, and I started working out on Jan. 31, 2009. Before my first workout with Grant, I was nervous. I didn’t know what to expect due to the fact I had never worked out with a trainer before. After that first intense session, I was hooked!
I signed up with the Real Fit trainers and have been training with them since. I have currently lost 105 lbs and 17.6% body fat! This journey of weight loss has changed my life forever.
One of the reasons that motivated me to start working out was the fact I was 21 years old with ridiculously high blood pressure. The doctor told me was at risk of a stroke!. Since starting to workout, I no longer have high blood pressure, and I am a healthy individual. The journey has positively influenced my life, and has improved my health tremendously. I have seen, and hope to keep seeing great results. But with great results comes a lot of sweating and hard work, but the hard work has paid off! Even though I have seen great results, there have been a lot of bumps in the road that I have had to push through with help from the trainers. There have been some minor injuries, some not so minor plateaus, and the frustration of weight loss in general.
The Real Fit trainers know what they are doing, and are great at what they do! I am very grateful for what the trainers have helped me accomplish, and I hope to accomplish a lot more in the future.
